During Earth Month, re:FRAME by Marina Testino & Enrique Badulescu invites you to rethink fashion’s impact. Inspired by the Atacama Desert’s textile waste crisis, this interactive exhibition confronts industry challenges while celebrating opportunities for its transformation. Through Badulescu’s signature vibrant imagery and UTP's Art & Fashion director Romina Herrera Malatesta’s visionary costumes and set designs, re:FRAME explores how we produce, consume, and value clothing. More than a reflection on waste, it’s a call to action—highlighting fashion’s potential to lead in sustainability and circularity. As with all of Testino’s projects, it merges creativity, advocacy, and innovation to drive meaningful change.

This incredible project confirms that fashion's infinite creativity can be achieved with brands and artists that love and protect our beautiful planet. Styled by Romina Herrera Malatesta, every piece was either designed by her and brought to life by her amazing team using recycled or wasted materials, or came from sustainability focused fashion designers. One of the most iconic pieces featured is the skirt made of plastic bottles. All the bottles were collected from a recycling facility and sculpted by Romina’s long time collaborator and set designer, Caitlin Cowger. The bottles were then recycled again afterwards.

Please come see these images come to life this week at the Leica Store & Gallery, 406 W. 13th St, New York, NY 10014. .The exhibition will run from April 24-27, 2025. We love our beautiful planet.
