And God Was Watching

The church wasn't empty, there were a few homeless people sleeping peacefully in the pews, others of no more than five were spread out and seated either in silent prayer or reflective thought, families walked up and down admiring the architecture. I tell you that place has a golden silence, I know it touches people and leaves you with a real feeling of safety along with the wonderful faint smell of frankincense which by right is now steeped into the very fabric of the building. I wondered for a moment if the people who were sitting silently could secretly of been angels Watching over us to make sure the photos I'd take would pass through without upsetting or pissing anyone off, people came up to light candles whilst Finn was lying there topless on the pew peacefully looking beautiful and tourists came and went about their business. There was no huffing or puffing or people getting irritated which had happened with a past experience and that was just a couple of portraits and definitely not topless.

My new beginning seen through the eyes of Finnian Smith now 21 years old and because he wants to be here, there are still many moments waiting for me to record of him just like Dan, Finn may have taken up the mantle. I really thought I was done with this stage. Finn told me not yet.

It was only when we wrapped up shooting that we saw the church officials walking through the building, so I guess even God must of approved... he's not always a party pooper! But a great entity that has gotten me through difficult times and that makes me feel very blessed indeed.

It's true to say Finn has this hold over me, I'll liken it to why Kate Moss is so loved and successful, they posses a lot of presence and power in front of the lens and those that love them will always be loyal to them.
